The Tufted Puffin Gallery is nestled amongst the trees near a marsh in a picturesque setting. The gallery offers a fine selection of works featuring David Jackson's wild life art in wood, stone, bronze, ceramic and on canvas. On any given day you may see deer, waterfowl, eagles, and a vast variety of songbirds who drop by for food and a quiet peaceful haven to rest where they know they are safe and welcome. National Geographic gave our little gallery a "must see" on Salt Spring Island.
Resident artist David Jackson transforms his natural love of animals and nature into unique and one of a kind pieces of art. He draws his inspiration from the ever changing wildlife around him. His works are in the homes of such people as Glenn Close, Treat Williams, Harry Belafonte, Meg Tilly, Dennis Thatcher, Prime Minister Hawk of Australia, Prince Phillip as well as many corporate collections.
Love of beauty is taste. The
creation of beauty is art.
